Recipient of the Padmashri award by the President of India in 2004, Dr SC Manchanda is a senior consultant at the Department of Cardiology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi.

With 36-years of contribution in research, education and training, Dr Manchanda has written close to 300 scientific papers in various national and international medical journals.

He was not only the former head of the Department of Cardiology at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) but has also contributed in the growth of the institute as a faculty member for 31 years.
